Multitude of events scheduled at Việt Nam Exposition Centre during National Day celebrations
The National Achievements Exhibition is set to take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025, marking a historic celebration of Vietnam's 80th National Day. Hosted by the Việt Nam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Hà Nội's Đông Anh Commune, this grand event will be a testament to the country's outstanding achievements over the past eight decades.
The exhibition, a major national event never before seen, is organised under the direction of Party General Secretary Tô Lâm, the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries, relevant agencies, and Hanoi authorities, involving nearly 300 units from ministries, departments, agencies, 34 provinces and cities, and enterprises nationwide.
Spanning across nearly 90 hectares, the Việt Nam National Exhibition Centre offers a rich "journey of experiences" for visitors. Various display zones will showcase the history, culture, socio-economy, and development of the country, as well as achievements in various fields such as industry-technology, investment-trade, agriculture-rural development, security-defence, foreign affairs, health, education, culture, sports, and tourism.
Each unit will have a dedicated display space to showcase their outstanding achievements. Most booths will feature technological facilities, including modern projection technology and 3D maps, providing a unique and immersive experience for visitors. A 3D map is also provided for easy navigation and information search.
The event is open to the public free of charge, and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in art programs, watch films, attend seminars, exchange ideas with artists and prominent figures, and enjoy traditional and modern cultural-artistic activities. There is even a virtual gallery and a 200-seat cinema room serving the best films for free to the audience.
In addition, the city's transportation sector has been assigned to prioritize specific traffic and bus routes to serve people and tourists visiting the centre during the exhibition.
The National Achievements Exhibition also highlights national culture, tradition, abundant resources, and products from across the country, as well as representative architectural works from past to present. Talkshows and dialogues with the participation of famous actors and artists are also organized during the event.
The major National Achievements Exhibition will take place at the VEC, reflecting Vietnam's key attainments and its strategic vision for future development. The event is live broadcasted on national television channels, offering viewers a chance to admire various artifacts, images, and documents, as well as witness the country's outstanding achievements over the past 80 years.
Construction of the Việt Nam National Exhibition Centre began at the end of August 2024, and by the end of June 2025, the two main components - the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall and outdoor exhibition area - had been substantially completed.
Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Lê Hải Bình, said the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST) was assigned by the Government to host the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness."
So, mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable journey as Vietnam celebrates its 80th National Day with the National Achievements Exhibition. It's an event not to be missed!
