Munich Security Conference Protected by German Federal Police Directorate Munich
The 61st Munich Security Conference is set to take place from 14th to 16th February 2025, and the Federal Police have announced robust measures to ensure the safety and security of all participants.
The Federal Police Inspection Munich will be at the forefront of these efforts, with their station conveniently located in Munich Central Station, next to track 26. Additional support will come from Federal Police departments in Deggendorf and Bayreuth, as well as several Bavarian inspections.
The main station, east station, Pasing station, and the S-Bahn stations Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Marienplatz, as well as the S-Bahn trunk line, will receive special attention from the Federal Police. These areas are expected to see high volumes of traffic during the conference.
Senior Police Director Steffen Quaas will lead the Federal Police operations during the conference. Director Quaas has emphasised that the smooth arrival and departure of all travelers, especially conference participants, is the top priority for the Federal Police.
The Federal Police will be present with approximately 250 officers at the conference, including service dog handlers and super-recognizers. Where necessary, they will act decisively, especially in cases of criminal offenses and disturbances of the public order.
Repelling threats to the railway and its users is a priority for the Federal Police. They will be particularly vigilant in ensuring the security of Deutsche Bahn facilities and the largest German S-Bahn network, which spans over 440 kilometers of track and includes over 210 stations and stops.
