In a testament to his growing popularity, independent rapper LaRussell sold 67 tickets for his "Backyard Show Experience" within less than 24 hours. The show, which took place at a music venue in Brooklyn, New York on a Sunday in July, was attended by about 500 fans.

LaRussell, who hails from the Bay Area, has gained international fame and performed at major events like the NBA All-Star weekend and an NPR Tiny Desk Concert. His unique performance style, characterised by catchy dance music and clever wordplay, has resonated with audiences worldwide.

The rapper's career is managed entirely by his team at Good Compenny, a label and creative company that he founded in 2016. Based in Vallejo, California, Good Compenny handles everything from song production and merchandise shipping to social media promotion and booking shows.

LaRussell's approach to his art and business is self-reliant and community-centered. He has publicly released 40 albums since 2018 and amassed more than 100 million global streams, according to Songstats, a music analytics site. His success has allowed him to collaborate with hip-hop titans such as Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and Lil Jon.

One family from California, who have been supporting LaRussell for multiple shows, considers themselves part of his "family". They travelled from California to attend the Brooklyn show together, marking their 28th LaRussell show as a unit.

LaRussell's "Proud 2 Pay" initiative, inspired by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle's offer-based model, offers fans the opportunity to bid on items such as concert tickets, tour merchandise, and even collaborations with LaRussell himself. He also uses a sliding scale and offer-based model for his art, allowing fans to decide the value of his work.

In a unique move, LaRussell has even created a system where fans can buy stock in the royalties of specific songs. This innovative approach to artist-fan relationships has helped LaRussell maintain a strong connection with his community, fostering a sense of familial connection among his supporters.

With millions of dollars earned from his music, LaRussell continues to take financial and creative risks in his career. His "Backyard Show Experience" is just one example of his commitment to providing unique and memorable experiences for his fans. As he continues to push boundaries and innovate in the music industry, there's no doubt that LaRussell's star will continue to shine bright.
