Napoli suffered a title loss
Napoli's dream of ending a 32-year wait for a Serie A title took a temporary blow after a 1-1 draw with Salernitana at the Diego Maradona Stadium. The result means the championship race is still wide open with Napoli currently holding a 18-point lead over Juventus.
Mathias Olivera gave Napoli the lead in the 62nd minute, but Salernitana forward Boulaye Dia equalised in the 84th minute, denying Napoli the chance to secure the championship title.

Lazio, however, dealt a blow to Napoli's title hopes by defeating Inter Milan 3-1, fulfilling their part of the task. Theoretically, Juventus could become the main competitor to Napoli, with a chance to reduce the gap to 17 points.
Napoli has only won the Serie A championship twice in its history, the last time being in 1990. The city of Naples has not seen its beloved team win the championship since then, making this potential victory even more significant.
The championship title will be decided in the remaining matches of the Italian Serie A season, with Napoli needing to secure the "scudetto" but failing to do so in the 32nd round. The next round for Napoli is against Udinese, a game that could potentially decide their fate.
