The city of Neuss, Germany, is set to host the International German Championships in Modern Pentathlon on October 24 and 25, 2020. This prestigious event, with a rich history and multiple disciplines, was first created by Pierre de Coubertin and has traditionally been practiced by military personnel and police officers.

The Championships will take place in and around Neuss, attracting athletes and spectators from across the country. The Stadtbad, Jahnstadion, and Gestüt Neuhaus in Grevenbroich, near Neuss, have been chosen as venues for the competition.

Modern Pentathlon is a multi-discipline sport that includes pistol shooting, fencing, swimming, show jumping, cross-country running, and Laser-Run (a combination of shooting and a 4x800m run). Athletes from all over Germany are encouraged to register through their state associations, with the German Modern Pentathlon Association (DVMF) accepting registrations until October 3, 2020.

Mayor Reiner Breuer of Neuss commented on the event, stating, "Elite sports in Neuss! A well-deserved recognition for our city's excellent sporting infrastructure." The DVMF, the organizing body for the German Championships, is yet to be clearly identified in the available search results.
