New Appointment at Neste: Marco Lietz Takes Over as Senior Public & Regulatory Affairs Manager for Central and Eastern Europe Regions
Marco Lietz, a seasoned professional with a background in political science and economics, has joined Neste as the new Senior Public & Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Central and Eastern Europe regions. Lietz's appointment marks a significant addition to the team at the Finnish fuel and chemical producer.
Lietz, who is 34 years old, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to joining Neste, he served as Manager Public Affairs for the DACH region, where he demonstrated his expertise in political advocacy and public affairs.
In his new position, which began on April 1, 2023, Lietz will be responsible for political advocacy in the Central and Eastern Europe regions. He will report directly to Claudia Stuckmann-Invernizzi, the Global Vice President, Public Affairs & Regulatory Affairs at Neste.
Lietz's career path includes stints in the E-scooter industry, where he honed his leadership skills in public affairs consulting and at the E-scooter startup Circ. This experience is expected to prove invaluable in his new role at Neste.
Claudia Stuckmann-Invernizzi, who has been instrumental in shaping Neste's public affairs and regulatory affairs strategy, is confident that Lietz's appointment will strengthen the company's position in the Central and Eastern Europe regions.
The previous Senior Public & Regulatory Affairs Manager for the DACH region at Neste was Sabine Klaus. Lietz takes over from Klaus and is poised to make a significant impact in his new role.
