New 2018 Kia Sorento offers GT-Line and GT-Line S models expansion
New Kia Sorento GT-Line and GT-Line S Debut in the UK
Kia has expanded its lineup for the 2018 model year with the introduction of the GT-Line and GT-Line S models in the Sorento range, their largest SUV in the UK. The new models are now available at Kia's dealers, with prices ranging from £28,995 to £41,995.
The GT-Line Sorento costs £36,495, and the GT-Line S costs £41,995. Both new models are equipped with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox, which is also available on the KX-2 and KX-3 versions of the Sorento.
The GT-Line model comes with projection headlights, while the GT-Line S features bending LEDs. Both models boast a sporty edge, with features such as 19'' five-spoke alloys, stainless steel side steps, 'Ice Cube' fogs, red brake calipers, and twin exhausts.
Inside, the new models offer black leather with grey stitching, a perforated leather steering wheel, and a new gear shifter. The GT-Line S adds Smart Park Assist, 360-degree camera, Adaptive Cruise, ventilated front seats, Panoramic roof, Blind Spot Detection, AEB, and Harmon Kardon Sound.
Meanwhile, the Kia Rio GT-Line has been revealed as the latest addition to Kia's range of GT-Line models. The Rio GT-Line will debut at the Geneva Motor Show and is scheduled for sale in spring 2018. The car comes with a smart key, power front seats, Lane Keep Assist, Speed Limit Info, Driver Attention warning, and a 7'' LCD supervision cluster.
Kia is also preparing for the Frankfurt Auto Show with the reveal of the Picanto X-Line. The company continues to make strides in the automotive industry, with sister company Hyundai.
A new Kia Concept, the Cross GT, is being teased ahead of a reveal at the Chicago Auto Show. The Sorento, after receiving a facelift for the 2018 model year, is now available with the rest of the range (KX-1, KX-2, and KX-3) offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The decision to expand the Kia Sorento lineup for the 2018 model year was made by Kia Motors as part of their product strategy and model range development. With these new additions, Kia is adding a sporty edge to their mainstream models, offering customers more choices and features than ever before.
