New hire announced for Microsoft's channel management division
In a strategic move, Microsoft has appointed Mareike Hoffmann as the new Channel Chief for Germany, replacing Edith Wittmann. Agnes Heftberger, the chairwoman of the management board at Microsoft Germany, is expressing delight at securing Hoffmann for this important role.
With nearly 25 years of experience in the tech industry, Hoffmann brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Microsoft's organization, customers, and partners. Her career began at the Heilbronn software house Portolan Commerce Solution, and she has since held various positions at Cognos and IBM, including international business customer sales and the newly created product area "IBM Watson." Most recently, Hoffmann worked at AWS as the Head of Partner Sales Germany.
Hoffmann's appointment comes as the Germany CEO at Microsoft emphasises the urgent need for Germany to set the course for economic success through the consistent and strategic integration of artificial intelligence. Hoffmann's goal is to ensure that the German economy remains competitive by working with Microsoft's partners to digitalize Germany. In her new role as Channel Chief, she will focus on advancing the use of artificial intelligence to create independent application cases that solve real industry problems.
The position of Channel Chief at Microsoft has been filled by several individuals in the past, including Edith Wittmann, Andre Kiehne, and Gregor Bieler. Prior to her role at Microsoft, Hoffmann held a leadership position in personnel management. As Enterprise Partner Solutions Lead at Microsoft, Hoffmann will be responsible for Microsoft's partner business with over 30,000 partners in Germany.
Hoffmann particularly wants to work with cloud-native companies and rapidly growing digital disruptors that create added value in Germany. She is eager to collaborate with these innovative organisations to help drive digital transformation and support Germany's economic growth.
The Germany CEO at Microsoft believes that Hoffmann's expertise will bring significant added value to Microsoft's organisation, customers, and partners. He is quoted as saying, "Mareike Hoffmann brings immense expertise in her field and I am confident that she will be a valuable asset to our team."
As Hoffmann takes on her new role, she is poised to make a significant impact on the tech industry in Germany, focusing on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the strategic integration of these technologies to drive economic success.
