New Jersey's online casinos have once again demonstrated their growing popularity, generating a record-breaking $186.8 million in June 2024. This represents a 25.2% increase year-over-year, marking the fourth-best month ever recorded in the state's online gambling history which began in 2013.

The highest revenue was achieved by Borgata Online Casino, generating approximately $45 million. Other top operators included Caesars, FanDuel, and DraftKings, each with revenues around $30-40 million. BetMGM followed closely behind with $22.3 million, while ESPN Bet and Hard Rock Bet posted revenues of $3.3 million and $9.6 million respectively.

In June 2024, several casinos surpassed the $1 million mark. Notable mentions include PartyPoker ($1.5 million), Virgin ($1.5 million), 888 ($1.4 million), Betway ($0.4 million), Jackpocket ($1.4 million), Golden Nugget ($7.8 million), Resorts ($1.8 million), bet365 ($1.1 million), Wheel of Fortune ($0.6 million), Mohegan Sun ($1.1 million), Ocean ($2.0 million), WSOP ($1.4 million), Bally ($5.8 million), and Fanatics ($1.8 million).

The strong performance of online casinos has significantly contributed to New Jersey's tax revenue. In June 2024, online casinos generated $28 million in tax revenue, bringing the total to nearly $170 million on the year. This is a testament to the growing importance of the online gambling industry in the state's economy.

The state of New Jersey is on pace for a 21% year-over-year improvement when comparing 2024 to 2023. Through six months in 2024, New Jersey online casinos have surpassed $1 billion, standing at $1.13 billion. This puts the state nearly 60% of the way to matching its 2023 revenue of $1.9 billion.

It's worth noting that the increase in revenue can be attributed to the growth in the number of operators and the variety of games available. Richard Janvrin, a sports writer who specializes in crafting informative reviews for sportsbooks and casinos, commented on the diversity of games, saying, "The variety of games available on these platforms is truly impressive. From classic slots to live dealer games, there's something for everyone."
