In a significant development for the gambling hub of Las Vegas, Nevada, the Dream Las Vegas casino project site has new ownership. McCarthy Building Companies, a renowned construction firm, has taken over the partially built casino project.

The transfer of the Dream Las Vegas land to McCarthy Building Companies was recorded in property records last week. The site, located near the south edge of the Strip and the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, was previously developed by Bill Shopoff.

The change in ownership was due to a legal settlement over unpaid bills, according to Ross Edwards, a Senior Vice President at McCarthy Building Companies. Edwards confirmed the transfer in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Dream Las Vegas project, a hotel-casino development, is still a partially built casino project in Las Vegas. The developers, led by Shopoff, reportedly owe tens of millions of dollars for work on the project.

The exact identity of the company currently managing the Dream Las Vegas construction site is not clear from the available search results. However, it is known that McCarthy Building Companies is the lead contractor for the project.

The Dream Las Vegas site remains under the ownership of McCarthy Building Companies. The company is yet to announce its plans for the project, but the transfer of ownership marks a new chapter in the development of this long-awaited casino project in the heart of Las Vegas.
