The city of Gütersloh is expanding its workforce with the addition of 45 young individuals, who are commencing their careers this September. This new cohort includes ten dual students in the Bachelor of Laws (General Administrative Service), two students in the Bachelor of Arts (Administrative Informatics), three trainees for administrative specialists, and one specialist in system integration.

Mayor Matthias Trepper welcomed these new career starters this morning, congratulating them for making it in a strong field of applicants. He addressed the entire administration, stating that the newcomers are joining a large team of over 1,700 employees.

During the induction week, these new colleagues will have the opportunity to get to know the city administration and its areas of responsibility, receive important information for daily work, and make initial contacts with each other.

Besides the city administration, institutions such as the Kreishandwerkerschaft (Chamber of Crafts) and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency), along with the chambers IHK and HWK and the Jobcenter Gütersloh, have also accepted young people for apprenticeships in 2025. This year has also seen career starters in the education service, emergency service, and fire department begin their training with the city of Gütersloh.

Trepper emphasized the importance of a solid and qualified training for the new career starters. He stressed that their success is crucial for the future of the city's workforce.

September 2025 marks the start of careers for 45 young people within the city, joining the ranks of the city's workforce. This significant number of young people joining the city's workforce this year is a testament to the city's commitment to nurturing and developing young talent.
