New students, totaling 14, transferred from the Police Vocational School
In a significant move to nurture young talent for the police force, the Fachoberschule Police is offering training to 58 students across five different police authorities this year. The students, who will receive their Fachabitur at the end of their two-year school time, will be eligible for a dual study at the police.
The police authorities involved in the Fachoberschule this year include Bochum, MK, EN, Olpe, and Siegen-Wittgenstein. The distribution of students from the Fachoberschule this year is as follows: Bochum, MK, EN, Olpe, and Siegen-Wittgenstein.
The practical component is particularly high in the first year, with students spending three out of five weekdays experiencing the daily routine in various police stations. The students receive theoretical instruction at vocational colleges such as in Halver-Ostendorf and gain practical insight into police work at their respective Criminal Police Headquarters.
The Criminal Police Headquarters of Märkischer Kreis welcomed 14 new students from the Fachoberschule (FOS) Police on Tuesday. The state of NRW has been offering students with an intermediate school leaving certificate the opportunity to complete the Fachabitur at the Fachoberschule Police for several years.
In the second year, the training focuses on schools, with law and constitutional studies on the timetable. Graduates of the Fachoberschule Police have a secure place of study at the police in the year 2027 and start their dual studies with a significant head start.
The head of the Directorate of Crime, Stefan Winkler, emphasized the importance of winning young talent for the police. He said, "We are investing in the future of our police force by providing young people with the opportunity to receive a comprehensive education and gain practical experience in the field."
It's worth noting that there is no publicly available information about the principal of the Police vocational school in Märkischer Kreis for the year 2027. However, the Fachoberschule Police is offering training to 58 new students across five police authorities this year, ensuring the continuation of its important work in shaping the next generation of police officers.
Three years later, these young people could start their service as young police commissioners or commissioners in the Märkischer Kreis, ready to make a difference in their communities.
