New York City Celebrates Cider Week Commencement on October 5th.
Cider Week New York is back, returning from October 5 to October 13. This annual event offers cider-centric events across the state, providing an opportunity for cider enthusiasts to explore New York's vibrant cider scene.
The New York cider industry has seen unprecedented growth, with over 120 cider producers making over 5 million gallons of cider each year. New York is now home to more cideries than any other state in the country, contributing a total economic impact of $1.7 billion to the state's economy.
One of the highlights of this year's Cider Week New York is the CiderFeast NYC at Industry City in Brooklyn on October 5. The event features numerous events showcasing local cideries, including exclusive tastings, chef-curated pairings, and more.
Another exciting event is the Hudson Valley Apple Project Orchard Tour and Original Sin, which takes place on October 6 at 1066 County Route 27a, Ancram, N.Y. 12502. CiderFest at Blue Barn Cidery & West Wind Farm takes place from October 2 to October 6. Located at 928 Manitou Road, Hilton, N.Y. 14468, this event offers a pumpkin patch and corn maze in addition to cider tastings.
For those looking for a unique experience, Sound and Stars: A Night at the Orchard takes place on October 5 at 178 Orchard Lane, Hillsdale, N.Y. 12529. This event features a guided sound bath meditation and stargazing, followed by a curated tasting of Original Sin's Ciders. Tickets, priced at $65.00 per person, can be purchased in advance.
