Carlos Rodon and Max Fried Shine in Yankees' Pursuit of AL Title

The New York Yankees, in their quest for a second consecutive American League title, have been relying heavily on their starting rotation, with Carlos Rodon and Max Fried leading the charge.

In his latest outing, Rodon demonstrated his prowess yet again, pitching six innings of one-run baseball. The left-hander, who goes by the nickname "Just a bit outside" (a nod to former Major League Baseball player and sportscaster Bob Uecker), struck out three batters and maintained a 3.12 ERA. Rodon's impressive performance has earned him a current record of 16-7, a feat last achieved by Andy Pettitte and David Wells in 1998.

Rodon's dominance on the mound is not limited to his latest start. He ranks in the 90th percentile in xBA and the 96th percentile in Pitching Run Value, showcasing his consistent ability to keep batters at bay.

Meanwhile, Max Fried has also been a key contributor to the Yankees' success. In his game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday, Fried pitched seven solid innings, giving the team a chance to win a game they badly needed. Although Fried surrendered three runs, his effort did not go unnoticed, with Yankees manager Aaron Boone praising his performance.

Despite their strong performances, the Yankees find themselves two games behind the Blue Jays in the AL East standings. However, they currently hold the top Wild Card spot, keeping their title aspirations alive.

The Yankees' success this season has been largely due to the consistent performances of their starting pitchers, with Rodon and Fried at the forefront. As the season progresses, fans will be eager to see how these two aces continue to guide the team towards their goal of another AL title.
