In the world of music, two intriguing documentaries are making waves. Cordula Kablitz-Post, a renowned director, is delving into the lives of two iconic figures - the German thrash metal band Kreator and the legendary DJ WestBam.

Kreator, founded over four decades ago in Essen, continues to fill international concert halls with their powerful music. The band's frontman, Mille Petrozza, has been a mystery to many, but Kablitz-Post's documentary, titled "Kreator - Hate & Hope", aims to present an authentic image of the band. Despite Mille's initial reservations about granting access to his personal life, the two have managed to establish good communication.

The documentary, currently playing in cinemas, offers a candid look into the band's journey, including moments where Mille is in a bad mood, which are later revealed to have been laughed about. Mille, known for his vegan, yoga-loving, teetotaler, and cyclist lifestyle, wears a helmet and has come a long way since his days delivering prescriptions for a pharmacy as a teenager.

Meanwhile, the financing for the DJ WestBam documentary has been secured, and work is set to commence soon. Kablitz-Post, who previously worked with Scooter, finds the metal scene and Kreator to be "perfect in their instruments" compared to Scooter. She is excited to bring the story of WestBam to the screen, promising an authentic portrayal devoid of staging.

For those interested in the screenings and the Hamburg premiere of "Kreator - Hate & Hope", information can be found on zeise.de. There are two screenings scheduled for August 31st, one at 8 p.m. and another at the Zeise-Open-Air at 8:45 p.m.
