Nissan reveals UK pricing and features for the 2018 LEAF model

New Nissan LEAF Hits UK Market with Enhanced Features and Competitive Pricing

After much anticipation, the new Nissan LEAF EV is now available for sale in the UK. The second-generation model, unveiled last month, boasts a significant 50% increase in range, up to 235 miles, and a power boost to 148bhp.

The new LEAF comes in several variants, each offering a unique blend of features. The mid-range 2.ZERO LEAF includes a 40kWh battery, E-Pedal, ProPilot, 17′′ alloys, NissanConnect, and Around View Monitor. The LEAF Visia starts at £21,990 (after government grant), while the LEAF Tekna costs £33,655. The LEAF Acenta, LEAF N-Connecta, and the LEAF Zero Special Edition are priced at £24,290, £25,990, and £26,490, respectively.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF 2.ZERO Limited Edition, initiated and produced by Nissan, is also now available, priced at £26,490 (after taxpayer grant). The first 2.ZERO LEAF cars are scheduled to be delivered to UK customers in February 2018.

The Nissan LEAF, Nissan's only EV offering, has been a key player in the electric vehicle (EV) revolution in the UK. Its popularity has grown in the face of increasing competition, with the market for electric cars in the UK becoming increasingly competitive. The new LEAF's price cut and additional equipment are a response to this growing competition.

The new generation LEAF has also received a styling overhaul to make it look more conventional. The 2017 Nissan LEAF Black Edition, a black-themed special edition, is now available for sale in the UK, with prices starting from £26,890 (after £4.5k grant).

The LEAF's running costs are approximately 85% less than those of petrol or diesel cars, and maintenance is about 75% cheaper. This, coupled with its enhanced features and competitive pricing, makes the new Nissan LEAF an attractive option for those looking to make the switch to electric vehicles.
