The Dutch Grand Prix is gearing up for an exciting qualifying session today at 15:00 CET, with Lando Norris leading the way after a strong performance in the final practice.

Norris set a blistering time of 1:08.972 minutes, securing the top spot on the leaderboard. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, followed closely behind in second place, nearly two and a half tenths slower than Norris.

However, the session was not without its drama. Fernando Alonso and George Russell had a spectacular incident during the practice, an occurrence that will be investigated by the stewards after the session.

The ambient temperature during the final practice was 20 degrees Celsius, and the track temperature reached 24 degrees Celsius. Despite the morning's heavy rain showers, the track was completely dry before the session started.

Red Bull faced some technical challenges during the practice. Isack Hadjar required a curfew exemption due to major engine problems, and a completely new power unit was installed at the rear of the Red Bull car, which ran smoothly in the session. Aston Martin also used a curfew exemption for the rebuild of Lance Stroll's car, which had to be rebuilt on a spare chassis overnight after a crash in the second free practice.

The incident left Stroll in eighth place and Alonso in tenth in the final practice, a significant drop from their usual positions. Aston Martin struggled in the session overall, with Stroll's teammate, Sebastian Vettel, in 15th place.

Elsewhere on the grid, Lewis Hamilton finished 14th, after making a mistake on his fast lap. Nico Hülkenberg was 16th, ahead of Kimi Antonelli in the second Mercedes.

The top three drivers - Norris, Piastri, and Russell - showed a significant gap from the rest of the field. Carlos Sainz was fourth, ahead of reigning champion Max Verstappen in fifth. Charles Leclerc was sixth, ahead of Alexander Albon in seventh.

As the Dutch Grand Prix weekend continues, there is an increased likelihood of rain for tomorrow's race, adding another layer of unpredictability to an already thrilling event.
