Notable golfers from the Ryder Cup, including 11 stars, and 12 Major Championship winners are set to participate in the BMW PGA Championship.
The prestigious BMW PGA Championship is set to return to Wentworth Golf Club, with a stellar lineup of golfers ready to compete.
Defending champion Billy Horschel will be aiming to defend his title, while Tommy Fleetwood, fresh from his Tour Championship and FedEx Cup win, will make his first competitive start since then at the event.
International stars will add to the global feel of the tournament. Corey Conners, Michael Kim, Si Woo Kim, Jhonattan Vegas, and Kevin Yu, among others, will join the fray. The field will also see the participation of popular golfers like Min Woo Lee from Australia and Hideki Matsuyama, an 11-time PGA Tour winner, making his tournament debut.
Former Masters champion Adam Scott will also join the BMW PGA Championship. He will be joined by other big names such as Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, who are both Major championship winners, and Justin Rose.
The European Ryder Cup team will be well-represented, with 11 members set to play against the USA at Bethpage Black. Notable European stars include Thomas Detry, a European Ryder Cup regular, and Padraig Harrington and Francesco Molinari, both former and current vice-captains.
Luke Donald, the Ryder Cup captain, will also be playing at Wentworth. Ryan Fox, a former champion, will participate in the event after two wins on the PGA Tour this season.
Two other golfers from the LIV Golf contingent, Tyrrell Hatton and Adrian Meronk, will also play at the BMW PGA Championship. They will be joined by Joaquin Niemann, a five-time LIV Golf event winner, and Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed, both from LIV Golf, who will participate at the tournament.
English golfer Harry Hall, who has had a brilliant season on the PGA Tour, will be playing at home soil at the BMW PGA Championship. The event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, with some of the best golfers in the world battling it out at Wentworth.
Wyndham Clark, a former US Open champion, will tee it up at Wentworth, adding another layer of excitement to the tournament. Sepp Straka, a Major championship winner, is missing from the 12 due to a family commitment but was still selected as a Ryder Cup wildcard.
