Nutritious Diet and a Robust Team: Chemnitz Clinic's Wellness Initiative Bolsters Staff Health

Starting from September 1st, the Care DineWell program will be introduced at the Chemnitz Clinic, marking a significant step towards holistic and sustainable health promotion in the workplace. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Chemnitz Clinic and DAK-Gesundheit.

The primary goal of Care DineWell is to motivate employees to adopt healthier eating habits, enhance their health literacy, and maintain long-term physical and mental performance. Martin Jonas, Commercial Director of the Chemnitz Clinic, expressed his excitement, stating that the program will make employees' daily meals healthier, more appealing, and sustainable.

DAK-Gesundheit, which insures 5.5 million people nationwide, plays a crucial role in this partnership. They support companies in proactively engaging in the health of their employees. In addition to the program's main focus on cafeteria offerings, Care DineWell also includes various accompanying measures such as workshops, lectures, podcasts, and food talks.

The program is designed to provide practical tips to optimize eating in professional and shift-based environments. It focuses on short, practical meal options and tailored offerings for specific groups, such as night shift employees. The project is supported by DAK-Gesundheit for a duration of three years to promote and sustainably improve the health behaviours of Chemnitz Clinic employees.

DAK-Health Saxony is also collaborating with Kraaibeek GmbH on the Care DineWell program. The program aims to educate employees about healthy eating and connect dietary habits with joy and fun. It also includes targeted measures to enhance nutrition competence and health in the workplace, further developing the clinic's occupational health management.

Approximately 6,500 employees are expected to benefit from the diverse offerings of the program. The Care DineWell program focuses on nutrition, knowledge, and well-being, aiming to optimize cafeteria offerings for employees working under high workloads in a hospital setting.
