NYC's Tribute in Light reappears in September, marking a poignant 9/11 tradition visible up to 60 miles away.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Tribute in Light will once again illuminate the New York City skyline, marking the 24th anniversary of September 11th. This iconic event, which originates from the Battery Parking Garage, will be visible not only within the city but possibly in other cities at least 60 miles from Manhattan due to its extraordinary brightness and height.

This year, the twin beams of light will reach far and wide, serving as a powerful symbol of the spirit of New York shining brighter than ever. In addition to being visible across the region, the Tribute in Light will also be reflected in iconic NYC buildings such as the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, Rockefeller Center, and the Oculus.

In solidarity, bridges and landmarks across New York State will also participate in the lighting, creating a stunning spectacle that will be a poignant reminder of the city's resilience and unity.

September in New York City is always a special month, and this year will be no exception. Alongside the Tribute in Light, the city will host a variety of exciting events. San Gennaro, one of the oldest and largest feast days in America, will bring a taste of Italy to Little Italy. Broadway Week will offer theatre-goers discounted tickets to some of the city's best shows, and the US Open will showcase the world's top tennis players competing for the championship.

As the Tribute in Light shines brightly across the city and beyond, it will serve as a poignant reminder of the city's strength and resilience. It will be a beacon of hope, reminding us all of the power of unity and the indomitable spirit of New York.
