Manhunt Underway in Braunschweig After High-Speed Escape

A high-speed chase through the streets of Braunschweig, Germany, took place on July 25, 2022, at 14:40 hrs. The police are currently seeking individuals who may have been endangered by the man's reckless driving, as well as witnesses to the incident.

The incident began at the intersection of Westerbergstraße and Donaustraße, where a young man fled from a traffic stop while driving a dark blue VW Golf. The man accelerated and drove downtown on Donaustraße at an increased speed, reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h in residential areas during his escape.

The man turned into Helene-Kühn-Allee and then continued into Kruckweg. He later turned around at the entrance to Friedrich-Seele-Straße and drove out of town. The VW Golf abandoned by the man is a delivery van.

The investigation into illegal street racing is ongoing, and the identity of the driver of the VW Golf remains unidentified. The identity of the young man who illegally drove the black VW Golf on July 25, 2022, is unknown; he remains unidentified.
