Oktoberfest-related beers and whisky unveiled: Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr reveal fresh offerings
Paulaner and Lantenhammer Distillery Unveil Special Oktoberfest Whisky
In exciting news for whisky and beer enthusiasts, Paulaner, a renowned brewery under the Schörghuber Group, has teamed up with the Lantenhammer distillery to produce a unique drop for the upcoming Oktoberfest. Named the Sild Single Malt Whisky "Oktoberfest Edition", this special edition whisky is set to make its debut.
The Sild Single Malt Whisky "Oktoberfest Edition" has already caught the attention of some whisky connoisseurs, promising a malty-sweet and smooth taste. The whisky has been aged in Paulaner's Salvator wooden barrels, adding a layer of complexity to its flavour profile.
It's worth noting that this whisky is a separate product from the traditional tapping ceremonies of Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr's Oktoberfest beers.
Maximilian Mirlach, who previously handled quality assurance for both Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr, will now be responsible for the Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest beer. This year marks his debut as the brewmaster at Hacker-Pschorr, taking over from Rainer Kansy who has moved to the position of Director of Operations.
Meanwhile, Christian Dahncke remains the brewmaster for Paulaner. As part of the festivities, Paulaner is offering a whisky tasting as a highlight for the Oktoberfest.
The Lantenhammer distillery from Schliersee is involved in the production of the Sild Single Malt Whisky "Oktoberfest Edition". This collaboration between Paulaner and Lantenhammer marks a new offering from Paulaner for the Oktoberfest.
The Schörghuber Group's breweries, Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr, present their Oktoberfest beer with a traditional tapping ceremony two weeks before the official Oktoberfest. The group owns the beers of Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr, ensuring the continuation of these time-honoured traditions.
