On the schedule: Complete shutdown of the route connecting Löbejün with Halle-Trotha
The German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) has announced that a section of the A14 highway will be closed between Løbejün and Halle-Trotha from September 19, 2025, at 10 PM until September 21, 2025, at 8 PM. This closure is part of the construction work on the new A143 project, which is being carried out by DEGES.
The construction work is taking place at the Halle-Nord interchange, where the new A143 is the focus of the construction work being done on the A14 highway. The new A143 project is the reason for the closure on the A14 highway, affecting traffic in both directions during the specified time period.
During the closure, detours will be in place to help manage traffic flow. The detours will be via U5 and U24 at the junctions of Løbejün and Halle-Trotha. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra travel time to reach their destinations.
The A143 project is a significant infrastructure development, and the closure is necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public, as well as to facilitate the construction work on the Halle-Nord interchange. The closure will last for approximately 48 hours, and motorists are encouraged to follow traffic updates and signs for guidance during this time.
The A143 project is expected to improve transportation infrastructure in the region, and the closure is a temporary inconvenience in the pursuit of long-term benefits. Motorists are advised to stay informed and to follow the detour signs to ensure a smooth journey during the closure.
