Online Casino Betway Will Continue Operating in Pennsylvania

Betway, the popular online gaming company behind the successful sportsbook and casino offerings, may be looking to expand its footprint in the United States. This is according to a statement made by Neal Menashe, the CEO of Super Group, the company that owns Betway.

Menashe's statement suggests that Super Group is open to expanding their U.S. presence if the right investment or strategic opportunities arise. However, it's important to note that the news of potential expansion is not yet confirmed.

Super Group's current revenue is primarily generated in iGaming. In May of this year, one of their partner casinos, Live! Casino Philadelphia, registered a 4.58% increase in profit compared to the same month the previous year. This partnership could potentially be a strategic opportunity Menashe is referring to.

While Betway has exited the US sports betting market, their casino product is currently available in New Jersey, in addition to Pennsylvania, where they are partnered with Live! Casino Philadelphia. The news that Betway is unlikely to exit the US online casino market is a relief to players across Pennsylvania.

Super Group has not indicated that Betway's online casinos are likely to exit the US market beyond New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In fact, Menashe has stated that they will continue to offer their casino product in these two states.

The speculation about potential expansion has been sparked by Menashe's statement. Betway is already expanding its sportsbook and casino offerings in multiple US states, including Arizona (since March 2022), Colorado (May 2020), Indiana (May 2021), Iowa (September 2021), Louisiana (August 2023), Ohio, and Virginia (early 2021).

However, it's unclear if Betway will soon be present in a third state or if expansion is planned within the two states where they currently operate.

Ramona Depares, a veteran journalist specializing in entertainment, lifestyle, and online gaming news, has been following this development closely. Depares, who was previously the head of media for one of the biggest organizers of gaming conferences, has been working in journalism for over 15 years.

As the situation unfolds, players and industry enthusiasts will be keeping a close eye on Betway's potential expansion in the US.
