The European School of Philosophies and Applied Psychotherapy (EEPA) has recently launched an exciting five-year online programme in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, taught in English. This comprehensive course is designed to train students in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, while also developing their knowledge of psychic functioning and encouraging the integration of acquired knowledge.

EEPA's programme consists of 375 hours across five cycles, including theory sessions and integration seminars. The curriculum draws on major philosophical and psychoanalytical traditions, including Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Spinoza, Freud, Jung, and Nietzsche. Students will have the opportunity to explore themes such as morality, ethics, individuation, attachment, defence mechanisms, Freud and Jung, and psychopathology.

The programme is delivered entirely online, with teaching alternating between theory and practice, based on each student's authentic experience. Students set their own pace and study from home or another suitable location. A bilingual team of lecturers provides additional support outside of class hours.

One of the unique aspects of EEPA's programme is its emphasis on the Socratic principle of "Know thyself". This principle is integrated throughout the course, encouraging students to reflect on their own experiences and personal growth. The programme also requires psychotherapy follow-up and personal work.

Completion of the EEPA programme is the first step towards the Certificat Européen de Psychothérapie Psychanalytique (CEPP), which requires further supervised practice and internships. The course is open to students or practitioners seeking to begin training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, individuals pursuing personal development based on the Socratic principle of "Know thyself", and those considering a career change. Prerequisites include the French Baccalauréat or its European equivalent.

EEPA's teaching is rooted in the principles of Carl Gustav Jung, giving particular emphasis to these ideas. Students will attend an annual Integration Seminar, with two available dates to choose from, allowing them to meet in person. Each cycle lasts five years, and students must complete three weeks of intensive training.

EEPA is accredited by the European Confederation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and holds Qualiopi certification. The school offers resources like access to its library, bibliography, and filmography. EEPA is registered as a private training centre under declaration number 11753884275.

EEPA was founded in 2003 and provides experience-based education. It is located at 14 rue Alfred Roll, 75017 Paris. For more information or to apply, please contact EEPA at +33 (0)1 53 75 37 27, email [email protected], or visit their website.

Please note that, according to our search results, there is no information available about Nicole Aknin's role within the European School of Philosophies and Applied Psychotherapy.

Lastly, EEPA Solidaire provides affordable consultations with therapists in training or at the beginning of their careers. This service offers a valuable opportunity for those seeking affordable therapy while supporting the development of new psychotherapists.
