Online petition seeks to oust Roblox CEO, amassing 215,000 signatures, following Schlep's in-game ban controversy
In a recent turn of events, popular YouTuber Schlep, with over 1.6 million subscribers, has been banned from the online gaming platform Roblox. The ban comes after reports of Schlep's actions on the platform, which allegedly violated Roblox's terms of use and community standards.

Schlep has posted screenshots of a cease and desist letter from a law firm acting on behalf of Roblox, stating that his actions on the platform increased the risk for users. The letter also demanded that Schlep cease and desist from accessing the Roblox platform.
Schlep, who claims to have been playing Roblox since he was eight-years-old, has been a vocal advocate for user safety. He claims his actions over the years have led to the arrest of six alleged 'predators'. He has also shared an anonymous email from a person thanking him for getting someone who was being groomed arrested in real life.
However, Schlep's ban has sparked controversy and a petition calling for the resignation of Roblox CEO David Baszucki, with over 215,000 signatures. Many users online believe that Roblox is not doing enough to protect its own users, especially younger ones including children.
Schlep expressed his disappointment about the ban, as he met his current girlfriend on Roblox and has fond memories of the platform. Despite this, he has no plans to revisit the Roblox platform, create a new account, or go back on the site.
Roblox, on the other hand, believes that safety enforcement should be left to trained professionals and proper authorities, not individual users. The platform works closely with law enforcement on safety matters and has a trusted flagger program for reporting suspected serious criminal activity.
