Online Satellite Tournaments for US Poker Players Commence for 2025 WSOP

Get ready to put your poker skills to the test, as the countdown for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) begins! Starting in February, WSOP is hosting online satellites for the Main Event, letting you fight for a seat in poker's most illustrious event right from the comfort of your home.
Every Sunday, WSOP guarantees a spot in the Main Event with a $215 buy-in. Players in Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan can participate, as these states share the same player pool. This is the first major step towards awarding Main Event seats for WSOP 2025, making it an excellent opportunity to secure a spot in the richest tournament. registration for WSOP Online is still open, so don't miss out!
These online satellites take place every Sunday at 7:30 PM (ET) and 4:30 PM (PT). Last Sunday's inaugural event awarded two Main Event seats with 119 entries creating a $23,500 prize pool. If you haven't secured your seat just yet, don't worry! The satellites also feature sub-satellites with entry fees as low as $10.
Can't make the satellites? Fear not! WSOP is also hosting Main Event freerolls each month, with one $10,000 seat up for grabs. All you have to do is make a deposit using the special code FEB2025 by February 25. Upon approval, you'll receive an entry to a freeroll on February 27, with the winner earning a seat in the 2025 $10,000 Main Event.
Last year, the WSOP 2024 Main Event established a new record with 10,112 players and a $94 million prize pool[1]. Online qualifiers accounted for 15% of the field, with the majority of them originating from GGPoker (around 1100) and US players making up about 400 of the pool from the WSOP Online platform.
With the return of popular events like the $1,500 Monster Stack, $400 Colossus, Ladies Event, and the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship, mark your calendars for the 56th Annual World Series of Poker from May 27 to July 16 at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas[1]. The Main Event commences on July 2.
