A 40-year-old woman from Erfurt found herself a victim of fraud on Friday evening. Unknown criminals infiltrated her account, leading to the theft of over 1,100 EUR.

The woman had made previous online purchases and received an unlocking code via her banking app for these transactions. However, she noticed suspicious account activity shortly after receiving the code.

Two separate transfers were made from her account. The first transfer amounted to nearly 900 EUR and was sent to a second bank account. A second transfer of over 200 EUR followed, with the funds being transferred to a foreign account.

The stolen funds were not confined to her primary account. Another 200 EUR was transferred from her second bank account to a foreign account as well.

The woman acted swiftly, filing a police report immediately following the suspicious activity.
