Opay introduces a contest based on its 7 advanced security features for users to vote and select their favorites
OPay, a leading mobile financial services platform in Nigeria, has launched an innovative campaign aimed at raising awareness about the seven in-app Security Features available to its users. The "My OPay Security Vote Challenge" was officially unveiled in the first week of August 2025 and is driven by Elizabeth Wang, OPay's Chief Commercial Officer.
The campaign encourages users to explore OPay's powerful security tools by creating a 30-second video showcasing their favourite Security Feature. To qualify, videos must be posted with the official hashtag #MyOPaySecurityVoteChallenge and must tag OPay's official social media accounts.
The "My OPay Security Vote Challenge" is not just a competition; it's a movement that's fostering a culture of vigilance in Nigeria's digital economy. Alongside exclusive OPay-branded merchandise, rewards will be given to participants weekly during the campaign. In fact, a total of over ten million Naira will be rewarded to participants every week.
The seven Security Features include: Scam Alert, Night Guard, Large Transaction Shield, Online Subscription Control, USSD Lock, Large Transaction Double Check, and Emergency Lock. These features are designed to provide users with a secure and hassle-free experience while using OPay's services.
OPay believes that when users understand and actively use the security features, the entire financial ecosystem becomes stronger, safer, and more resilient. The company will use its app ecosystem to provide customers with real-time updates and interactive participation channels.
The "My OPay Security Vote Challenge" is one of the largest digital safety engagements in Nigeria this year. Alongside face-to-face community engagement to reach diverse audiences across the country, over 2000 Nigerians will be celebrated during the campaign period.
