Opera festival kicks off at Teatro de la Maestranza with 'Don Giovanni', featuring the performance of Franco Fagioli
The City of Seville is set to host its first-ever Opera Festival, a cultural extravaganza that promises to showcase the city's rich heritage and contemporary spirit. The two-event programme, promoted by the City Council of Seville and its Tourism and Culture Delegation, will take centre stage at the historic Maestranza Theatre from 4 to 12 October.
At the heart of the festival is the timeless opera 'Don Giovanni', a production by the Cologne Opera, which will be performed from 4th to 12th October. The musical direction for this captivating production is in the capable hands of Ivan Lopez Reynoso and Mariano Garcia Valladares.
The stage direction for 'Don Giovanni' is by Cecilia Ligorio, and the performances will take place at 8:00 PM on the 4th, 8th, 10th, and 11th, and at 6:00 PM on the 12th of October. For those eager to secure their seats, tickets can be purchased on teatrodelamaestranza.com.
