Osbourne Recalls One of the Best Times with Ozzy Following Her Father's Demise
Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of the legendary rockstar Ozzy Osbourne, shared a touching video clip on her social media platforms, showcasing a heartwarming moment between her and her late father during a road trip. The video, taken from Ozzy's A&E show Jack & Ozzy's World Detour, was shared on Saturday, July 26.
In the video, Kelly and Ozzy are seen dancing together in a motorhome, with Kelly serenading her father to George Ezra's "Paradise." The clip ends with a poignant exchange: Kelly tells her father "I love you," to which he responds with "I love you more."
The video serves as a testament to the close bond between the father-daughter duo, a bond that was evident even in the face of Ozzy's battle with Parkinson's disease, a condition he was diagnosed with in 2020. However, a week prior to his death, Kelly found herself embroiled in a heated exchange with a fan who criticized her understanding of Parkinson's disease.
The fan claimed that Kelly didn't understand how Parkinson's disease works because she had publicly denied that Ozzy was actively "dying." In response, Kelly clarified that she understands the disease and that the fan's message was rude. She broke her silence regarding her father's death days later.
Ozzy gave his final performance with Black Sabbath at the Back to the Beginning festival in Birmingham, England, on July 5, weeks before his death. The event, which was attended by more than 45,000 people in person and another 5.8 million online, raised an estimated $190 million. Funds raised from the concert will be distributed equally to Birmingham Children's Hospital, Acorn Children's Hospice, and Cure Parkinson's - an organization dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease.
Ozzy passed away on Tuesday, July 22, at the age of 76. His family confirmed his death, stating that he was surrounded by love at the time. Kelly, who referred to her father as the best friend she ever had, expressed her sadness and grief over the loss of her father on July 24 via her Instagram Story.
The video shared by Kelly serves as a poignant reminder of the love and bond shared between father and daughter, a bond that will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew them.
