SunExpress Expands Operations for the 2025 Summer Season

SunExpress is gearing up for an exciting summer as they announce an expansion of their flight services from Germany and beyond.

In the heart of the summer season, the airline will operate direct flights from 17 airports in Germany to 18 destinations across Türkiye. This expansive network is made possible with a fleet of 85 aircraft, a significant increase from the pre-pandemic year of 2019.

SunExpress is not only focusing on domestic routes but also venturing into new international destinations. Passengers can now enjoy direct flights from Antalya to Glasgow and Liverpool, as well as from Dalaman to London Stansted and Glasgow. Additionally, new international destinations include Amman and Chișinău.

On the domestic front, SunExpress has launched new services from Antalya and İzmir to Eastern Anatolian cities such as Muş and Ağrı.

The peak travel months of June, July, and August saw SunExpress conduct over 10,000 flights to Antalya from 76 different airports. This summer, the airline added 21 new routes to its network, including 15 international and 6 domestic routes.

The DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) remains SunExpress's core market, offering the highest number of direct connections from 22 airports in the region to the Turkish Riviera and Anatolian cities.

SunExpress is also making strides in the U.K. and Ireland markets, aiming to be the leading leisure carrier for flights from these countries to the Turkish Riviera and Anatolia. The UK and Ireland, as a region, is SunExpress's largest market where the company is rapidly expanding and becoming the leading leisure airline for flights from these countries to Turkey.

The airline aims to carry approximately 16 million passengers to Türkiye by the end of the year. Last year, SunExpress carried one out of every two passengers traveling from Germany to Türkiye, a testament to their popularity and reliability.

During the 2025 summer season, the airline will operate flights from 13 airports in the U.K. and Ireland to 29 different routes in Türkiye. With such an extensive network, SunExpress is making travel to Türkiye more accessible and enjoyable than ever before.
