Over 70 vendors set to showcase their wares at the forthcoming Second Saturday Del Ray Vintage and Flea Market
The Del Ray Vintage and Flea Market is set to return for another edition on Saturday, September 13. Contrary to popular belief, this event is not an arts and crafts fair.
Established by Amy Eggers, the owner of Stardust Vintage and Gift, in 2011, the market has grown significantly since its humble beginnings with a handful of vendors six years ago. This time around, more than 70 vendors have signed up to sell their vintage goods.
Eggers, who oversees an application process for vendors, aims to maintain a good mix of items for people of all ages at the market. She strives for the market to have good quality items with interesting points, ensuring a diverse and engaging shopping experience.
The Del Ray Vintage and Flea Market takes place every second Saturday. This upcoming event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will be held outdoors in the parking lots of Del Ray Psych & Wellness, the Salvation Army, and at the Corner of Mount Vernon and E. Custis Avenues.
With over 2,000 people attending the market in August, expectations are high for a big turnout if the weather holds up. If you're looking for a unique shopping experience, be sure to mark your calendars for the Del Ray Vintage and Flea Market on September 13.
Meanwhile, if you're interested in arts and crafts, you might want to check out the separate arts and crafts market hosted by the Del Ray Business Association at Gustave Boulangerie on Second Saturdays. Both markets offer distinct and enjoyable experiences for the community.
