European leaders, along with the EU leadership and Ukraine's president, are set to personally participate in the Coalition of the Determined's meeting on September 4th, to be held in Paris. Approximately 20 additional countries will participate remotely.

Headline: International Leaders Convene at "Coalition of the Resolute" Meeting in Paris

The "Coalition of the Resolute" meeting, a gathering of global leaders to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, took place virtually and in person on September 4 in Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron hosted the event, which saw the participation of representatives from 33 countries.

Among the attendees were several European leaders, including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had already arrived in Paris for the meeting.

Notable European Union (EU) members in attendance included Luxembourgish Prime Minister Luc Frieden, Canadian Prime Minister Marc Carney, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, and Cypriot President Nicos Christodoulides.

Other European leaders, such as Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, attended the meeting in person.

Austria was represented by Foreign Minister Bea Massing-Raizinger, while Iceland was represented by Foreign Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir. Turkey was represented by Vice President Fuat Oktay.

Japanese Prime Minister Sigereu Ishiba and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson were also in attendance, as were leaders from Australia, New Zealand, Montenegro, and Albania.

Prior to the meeting, President Macron announced that allies had finalized work on security guarantees for Ukraine. However, Chancellor Olaf Scholz clarified that there are no concrete plans for the deployment of partner military contingents in Ukraine - "at least not in Germany."

Following the conclusion of the discussion, European leaders are expected to call US President Donald Trump. The meeting was also attended by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and leaders of around 20 countries from Europe and other continents.

Notably absent from the meeting were leaders from Slovakia, Hungary, and Malta. The availability of the other EU leadership was not explicitly reported as absent from the "Coalition of the Determined" conference in Paris on September 5.
