A Sunny Day, a Chaotic Poker Finale

London's sunny Thursday seemed to have kicked the excitement a notch higher at Aspers Casino. The joy in the air couldn't be just Mother Nature's doing - it was the last day of the £150 Mini Main Event, after all! With 866 entries spread across six starting flights, a prize pool of £109,200 was up for grabs, making every poker enthusiast's lips curl into a smile.

36 Gamers Flocked to the Final Lap

36 poker players returned for Day 3, each driven by the dream of taking home the £17,170 first-place prize and the prestigious PartyPoker trophy. The poker action commenced at 18:00 local time.

The quick elimination of nine players within the first hour left us with three tables. Dost Ghrabie, who started as the chip leader, continued his aggressive play style, extending his lead with a little help from Lady Luck.

PartyPoker Pro Jaime Staples Eliminated

As the tournament neared the final table, it'd be Ghrabie who'd eliminate PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples. Despite the PartyPoker community's wish to see Staples shine in this tournament, his fate was sealed. Ghrabie's stack kept growing, but he wasn't the only one accumulating chips. Grace Smith, who led Day 1a, dominated the later stages of the tournament.

The Final Nine

When David Barnu eliminated Danas Gerdziunas with a flush, only nine players remained. They entered the final table, their eyes glued to the prize. Shoutout to PartyPoker and Aspers for creating an exceptional venue - even though the broadcast wouldn't start until the Main Event, the finalists couldn't resist testing out the TV-table!

Jorge Palomino was the first to exit, followed closely by Liam Trimmer and Muctarr Jalloh. The bad beat of the day belonged to Jeferson Liete, whose full house failed against Hellmith's quad sevens. Louis Cowen's fifth-place finish followed a brutal two-outer hand against Ghrabie.

Heads to Three

David Barbu was the fourth to leave the stage, followed by Hellmith and Smith in third and second place, respectively. Dost Ghrabie's dominance held strong, meeting little resistance. Smith and Hellmuth proposed an ICM deal, but Ghrabie, with a substantial chip lead, turned them down.

The final three-handed play brought nail-biting drama, including a thrilling clash between Smith and Hellmuth. Despite Ghrabie's aggressive playstyle, he managed to take the lead and, eventually, the trophy. His victory came after approximately eight hours of intense poker action.

Final Table Results

  1. Dost Ghrabie - £17,170
  2. Grace Smith - £11,340
  3. Martin Hellmuth - £7,940
