Pathologist demonstrates injury details using a mannequin in Zara Qairina's inquest, presented by the defendant's lawyer.

In Kuala Lumpur, an inquest is currently underway for the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir, a teenage student who was found unconscious in a third-floor corridor of her school dormitory on the morning of July 16.

The inquest, taking place at the Kota Kinabalu Coroner's Court, was initiated by Datuk Ram Singh and his legal team. The proceedings are being led by the conducting officer of the Attorney General's Chambers.

Dr. Jessie Hiu, a forensic pathologist, is providing testimony in the case. She has stated that the injuries found on Zara were consistent with a fall from a height, a claim that has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.

Dr. Hiu has also expressed her belief that it is unlikely that Zara fell accidentally. However, no further information about the nature or cause of Zara's death has been provided at this time.

Lawyers for five teenagers charged with bullying are expected to pose questions during the proceedings. These defendants are not specified as being connected to the fall from a height.

In addition to the defense lawyers, lawyers representing the deceased's parents and other interested parties are still present in the inquest.

To aid in her testimony, Dr. Hiu used a mannequin to demonstrate the injuries sustained by the deceased. This mannequin was introduced by Datuk Ram Singh and his legal team during the proceedings.

The inquest is expected to continue, with Dr. Jessie Hiu continuing her testimony and answering questions from the conducting officer of the Attorney General's Chambers. The proceedings are still ongoing, with no definitive conclusions reached at this time.
