The Fragrance Awards 2022, a prestigious event in the world of perfumery, recently took place, showcasing the best in the industry. An esteemed panel of experts, including Alice de Parcq, Clemence Pelle, Nicola Bonn, and Suzy Nightingale, judged the entries based on criteria such as scent originality, quality of ingredients, creativity in composition, longevity, sillage, and overall impression.

Standout Performances

Mind Games' Mentor: Best Eau de Extrait

Mind Games' Mentor, a powerful unisex fragrance, took home the award for Best Eau de Extrait. With notes of caramel, plum, Italian lemon, coffee, amber, resin, cassis, tonka bean, sandalwood, and oud, this modern vanilla scent is a delightful blend that has been praised by judge Nicola Bonn as "creamy orris, slightly sour apple. It's delicious."

Byredo's Blanche: Best Eau de Parfum

Byredo's Blanche, the ultimate "clean girl" scent, won the award for Best Eau de Parfum. With crisp aldehydic notes, black pepper, and warm neroli, this fragrance is "very easy to wear and incredibly chic in design and scent," according to Suzy Nightingale, fragrance writer and co-host of the On the Scent podcast.

Prada Paradoxe: Best Classic Women's Fragrance and Sustainable Choice

Prada Paradoxe, a floral amber scent with a long-lasting effect, won the awards for Best Classic Women's Fragrance and was recognised for its sustainability. By choosing a 100ml refill of Prada Paradoxe instead of two 50ml bottles, consumers can help save resources such as glass, metals, plastic, and cardboard.
