Person apprehended following bomb scare at Finger Lakes Gaming & Race Track facility

A 34-year-old man named Jose Luis Torres-Berrios was arrested at the Finger Lakes Gaming Casino on August 2, 2025, following a disturbing threat made towards the casino.

The incident began when casino security attempted to remove Torres-Berrios from the bar area. In response, he allegedly stated that he would return to his residence, construct several explosives, and use them to destroy the casino and harm people inside.

The arrest was made by the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, who located and arrested Torres-Berrios at the scene. He was charged with making a terroristic threat and is currently being held in Ontario County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court.

The threat was allegedly made following a verbal altercation at the casino bar on August 2 around 9:16 p.m. After the arrest, Torres-Berrios was transported to the Ontario County Jail.
