Peugeot's SXC Crossover model will reportedly not receive the Hybrid4 powertrain and might not be produced at all.

The Peugeot SXC Crossover Concept, unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show, was designed specifically for the Chinese market. However, it's important to clarify that this concept is not a production model for the Chinese market.

The Peugeot 3008, a popular model in many markets, will not receive the HYbrid4 powertrain in the Chinese market due to a requirement to share hybrid technology with Chinese partners. This requirement also applies to the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4, which is not expected to be sold in the Chinese market.

The Peugeot SXC Concept, if produced, will not feature the HYbrid4 powertrain. The concept car, penned by Peugeot's Shanghai Design Team, showcases Peugeot's capabilities in design and technology. It's a high-riding, shooting-brake come coupe-ish crossover, offering a unique blend of style and functionality.

Despite the SXC Concept's intriguing design, Peugeot has decided not to produce the HYbrid4 SXC. There are no specific publicly available reasons why Peugeot did not use the HYbrid4 system in the Peugeot SXC Concept.

It's worth noting that the Chinese government has not reconsidered its position on requiring Peugeot to share hybrid technology with Chinese partners. This requirement has been a significant factor in the decisions made regarding the availability of hybrid models in the Chinese market.

While the Peugeot SXC Concept does not indicate a production model for the Chinese market, it serves as a testament to Peugeot's commitment to design and technology innovation. Meanwhile, the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 and Peugeot RCZ HYbrid4 were showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show, offering hybrid powertrains in other markets.

In conclusion, the Peugeot SXC Concept, although designed for the Chinese market, will not be a production model in China due to the hybrid technology sharing requirement. The Peugeot 3008, on the other hand, will not receive the HYbrid4 powertrain in the Chinese market.
