Headline: Massive Full-Dress Rehearsal Held in Hanoi for 80th Anniversary of August Revolution and National Day
On Saturday morning, the People's Public Security forces, along with military personnel from various countries, gathered at Ba Đình Square and central streets of Hanoi for a full-dress rehearsal of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
The rehearsal was an impressive spectacle, with parade formations marching along Tràng Tiền Street, Lê Duẫn Street, and Cửa Nam (Southern Gate). Among the participants were female traffic police officers, female peacekeepers, and a formation of female militia representing Việt Nam's ethnic groups.
Mounted mobile police officers and police counter-terrorism vehicles were also on display, rolling past the reviewing stand. The rehearsal featured a formation of Red Flag bearers, commando troops, and female special police officers, adding to the grandeur of the event.
The parade included the participation of the Air Force, with an An Su-30MK2 fighter jet performing a flare display. Tanks, such as T-90s, and armored troops proceeded down Tràng Thi Street, while amphibious BMP-1 and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles were part of the rehearsal.
Engineer troops, electronic warfare troops, chemical defence troops, and firefighting vehicles were present during the parade, ensuring the safety and smooth running of the event. The Revolutionary Press bloc and the Chinese, Laotian, Myanmar, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Russian, and Belarusian armies also took part in the rehearsal.
The large-scale rehearsal mirrored the official event, featuring marching contingents, a parade, and the participation of the Air Force. The rehearsal served as the final practice ahead of the official ceremony, promising a grand celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
