In an unexpected turn of events, a 39-year-old resident was arrested on Sunday, August 31, 2025, following an attempted homicide at a refugee shelter in Augsburg, Germany.

The incident took place at the shelter in Adelzhausen, where the suspect allegedly attacked two residents with a hammer. Both victims, a 47-year-old and a 48-year-old, were injured in the attack.
