Police are in pursuit of the thief who snatched a woman's bicycle, as reported by BPOL-KI.
In the heart of Lübeck, on August 6, 2025, an unusual incident occurred near the Lübeck Railway Station. A man was found riding a lady's bicycle, sparking curiosity and concern among the local community.
The man was stopped by a patrol from the Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel around 5:35 PM. However, the frame number of the bicycle could not be clearly read, making it difficult to determine the rightful owner.
The Federal Police Directorate Bad Bramstedt, which operates in Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and the North and Baltic Seas, is leading the investigation. The Directorate is a federal authority with operational units in Flensburg, Kiel, Rostock, Stralsund, Pasewalk, and a Federal Police Inspectorate for Combating Crime in Rostock, as well as a Mobile Control and Surveillance Unit.
The Directorate also has a maritime component, "Federal Police Sea", to monitor the sea border in the North and Baltic Seas. This extensive network is being utilised in the search for the owner of the stolen bicycle.
The man claimed to have borrowed the bicycle from a friend, but he could not provide any further details about his friend or prove ownership of the bicycle. This lack of information has led to suspicions that the bicycle might have been stolen.
If the bicycle belongs to someone, they are asked to contact the Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel at 0431/98071-0 or [email protected]. The Directorate's website, www.bundespolizei.de, also provides more information about the organisation and its tasks.
The owner of the stolen bicycle is a woman, as the federal police are searching for the owner of the stolen women's bicycle. The Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel is asking for information about the owner of the bicycle.
For further questions, contact the Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel. The contact details are: Katharina Wala (contact person), 0431/ 980 71 - 118, E-Mail: [email protected], Twitter: @bpol_kueste.
The Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel carries out a wide range of tasks based on the Federal Police Act and other laws, including border police protection, railway police tasks, and border, maritime, and environmental police tasks in the North and Baltic Seas. The Directorate employs approximately 2600 employees, including police officers, administrative staff, and hourly workers.
The Directorate's mission is to ensure the safety and security of the region, and the public's cooperation is crucial in achieving this goal. If you have any information about the stolen bicycle or the owner, please contact the Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel.
