Break-ins and Arson in North Rhine-Westphalia Cities

Over the past week, several break-ins and a case of suspected arson have been reported in the cities of Recklinghausen, Dorsten, and Herten, North Rhine-Westphalia.

In the city of Lage, a house saw several apartments go up in flames between 12:15 and 18:50 on Saturday. The police suspect arson and temporarily detained a 20-year-old local as a suspect, but later released him due to lack of evidence.

Meanwhile, in Dorsten, unknown perpetrators broke into a bungalow on Buchenhöfe Straße last Friday between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. No details about the stolen goods are available yet from this incident. Witnesses are asked to contact the police at 0800 2361 111.

In another incident in Dorsten, perpetrators forced their way into a single-family home on Dorstener Straße through the front door on Saturday between 6:30 pm and 7:50 pm. The residents were in the garden during the burglary, but no details about the stolen goods are available yet.

In Recklinghausen, three women are suspected of breaking into an apartment on Münsterstraße on Saturday at 12:15 pm. They took a wallet and fled from the residence, and were captured on a security camera during the incident. No leads on the burglars have been found for either the Dorsten or Waldstraße incidents.

On Waldstraße, a single-family home was burglarized on Friday between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The perpetrators forced open a terrace door to gain entry and searched the rooms for loot, but no details about the stolen goods are available yet.

Unknown perpetrators also broke into a single-family home on Resser Weg between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. No details about the stolen goods are available yet for this incident either.

The perpetrators on Resser Weg initially attempted to force open a sliding door but ultimately used a downspout to climb to the bedroom window and enter the house.

For the incident on Dorstener Straße, the perpetrators forced open a terrace door to gain entry and searched the rooms for loot. The women took a handbag containing cash and personal documents from the apartment before fleeing in an unknown direction.
