On Friday, August 29, 2025, a 51-year-old resident of Gelsenkirchen was arrested following a violent confrontation with the police and the public order office at Königsweiher in Buer, Gelsenkirchen.

The incident began when the police were called to the scene due to an administrative offense. However, the 51-year-old individual became resistant, refusing to comply with the authorities.

According to reports, the 51-year-old showed verbal aggression towards city employees and police officers. This escalated as the individual resorted to violence, resorting to kicking, headbutting, and spitting at the officers.
