Police in Bochum, Germany are on the hunt for the driver who allegedly fled the scene of an accident in the city.

In the early hours of Saturday, September 6, a traffic accident occurred in Bochum, Germany. The incident involved a 21-year-old man from Essen, who was riding a bicycle on Wattenscheider Hellweg.

According to witnesses, the man was overtaken and cut off by a car, causing him to swerve unexpectedly. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the man had to swerve into a bush. Unfortunately, as a result of the swerve, the man fell off his bicycle and suffered a shock. No further details about his injuries are available at this time.

The fleeing car is believed to be a red Opel Corsa with an Essen license plate. Witness statements suggest this description of the car, and they also describe the driver as approximately 25 to 35 years old, with black hair and a beard.

The Bochum Police are searching for the driver involved in the accident, as they have taken over the investigation. The police believe the car might be a stolen vehicle with replaced license plates, involved in a high-speed chase and crash into a tree in Witten, near Bochum. The driver did not stop after the accident.
