Police in Poland apprehended alleged burglars in the town of Revenahe

Yesterday afternoon, an attempted burglary was reported in Buxtehude's Vaßmerstraße. Unknown suspects tried to break into an empty apartment between 12:45 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., using a stone. The suspects failed to enter the apartment and fled the scene, presumably by car, in an unknown direction.

The police from Stade, Apensen, and Harsefeld conducted a search and managed to stop a grey Mercedes matching the description near Wiegersen. The driver of the Mercedes, a 32-year-old from Hollenstedt, and the passenger, a 41-year-old from Braunschweig, were temporarily detained and taken into police custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle and an apartment in Hollenstedt revealed evidence linking them to other crimes. However, the evidence found does not appear to be related to the Buxtehude incident.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, a burglary attempt was made at a farmhouse in Lindenallee, Revenahe, yesterday morning. The resident of the house noticed the break-in, observed the suspects, and called the police. The 32-year-old woman from Hollenstedt and the 41-year-old man from Braunschweig were arrested by the Stade police station in connection with this case, but have since been released pending further investigation due to lack of grounds for detention.

It is important to note that the suspects involved in the Buxtehude incident are different from those detained in the Revenahe burglary case. The incident occurred in Buxtehude, not in Lindenallee, Revenahe. The Buxtehude incident is a new case separate from the ongoing investigation into the burglary in Revenahe.

Inside the house in Revenahe, several cabinets were ransacked by the suspects. The police from Stade, Apensen, and Harsefeld were not involved in the Buxtehude incident.

Witnesses with information regarding this case are asked to contact the Buxtehude police at 04161-647115. The press contact for this case is Rainer Bohmbach from the Police Station Stade Press Office, who can be reached at 04141/102-104 or via email at [email protected].

The investigation into the burglary in Revenahe continues. The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
