Police in Poland report: 25th of July, 2018 - Incident No: 2
In the Rhein-Erft-Kreis region, a series of burglaries have been reported in the towns of Frechen, Bedburg, and Hürth. The police are currently investigating these cases, with several suspects described and traces secured at the crime scenes.
The most recent incident occurred in Gleuel, where unknown individuals forced open the terrace door of a house and entered at around 3:00 AM on July 18. The police were alerted and initially surrounded the building, but the perpetrators made off with any loot is part of the ongoing investigation.
In Frechen, burglars gained access to a house between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM on the same day and stole valuable items, money, and perfume. The suspects involved in this robbery have not been described in detail.
In Bedburg, two separate incidents were reported. Suspects broke into an apartment between approximately 4:00 PM and 4:45 PM, and another house at an unspecified location between 4:00 PM and 4:45 PM. The suspects in both incidents were described as having black hair and wearing gray t-shirts and long dark pants. An attentive witness in Bedburg noticed three suspects, one of whom was estimated to be 30 to 40 years old and 179 cm tall, and the other two were 16 to 18 years old and 160 cm tall.
In Hürth, unknown individuals are suspected of breaking into a house on an unspecified date, with the exact location not disclosed. Initial investigations suggest that the suspects stole cash from the house.
The police are also investigating a case in Pulheim, where two men around 25 years old broke into a car and stole a component. One of the suspects was wearing light jeans and a Nike hooded jacket.
The police have also identified two homeless men aged 36 and 44 who stole a backpack from a car in Cologne on the same day as the burglaries.
