On the night of August 28, 2025, a 38-year-old man caused a commotion in police custody at the Siegen-Wittgenstein District Police Headquarters in Weidenau.
The incident unfolded when the man was taken into custody around 3:30 AM. He offered strong resistance when being moved to another cell, resulting in injuries to two officers. Despite the minor injuries, the officers remained fit for duty.
During the altercation, the man repeatedly kicked towards the officers and struck the cell door with considerable force. As a result, the cell door was damaged so severely that it could only be opened using a crowbar. The damage was extensive enough to cause a disturbance in the police inter-heating room.
