Police Officers Assaulted, Witnesses Sought After High-Risk Driving Incidents Resulting in Multiple Road Accidents and Injuries, Alongside Street Fights and Vehicle Fires
On Saturday afternoon, a serious motorcycle accident occurred on the B28 near Bad Urach, resulting in one motorcyclist being seriously injured. The injured individual was taken to a clinic for further treatment.
Earlier in the day, a 21-year-old motorcyclist was stopped by the Tübingen traffic police due to dangerous driving maneuvers. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon.
In a separate incident, a traffic accident in Holzmaden early Sunday morning resulted in two minor injuries and €8,000 in material damage.
In Dotternhausen, a vehicle fire occurred on Saturday afternoon, causing approximately €6,000 worth of damage.
On the B297 in Neckartailfingen, a traffic accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Witnesses who were endangered by the driving of the 21-year-old Honda driver are asked to contact the Tübingen traffic police.
In Straßberg, a motorcycle accident with injuries occurred on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the severely injured motorcyclist being taken to a clinic for further medical treatment.
In a more concerning turn of events, a 55-year-old man is in custody following a violent attack on police officers at the Reutlingen Wine Festival. The man, who reportedly showed aggressive behaviour, was arrested after the attack.
In Hirrlingen, a traffic accident occurred early Sunday morning, resulting in a serious injury, a minor injury, and property damage of €1,500.
Investigations have been initiated against the drivers involved in several of these incidents, including the Honda driver, the Opel driver suspected of hit-and-run, and the motorcyclist who showed signs of intoxicating substances during the police investigation.
Balingen Police Station is investigating several unknown persons for dangerous bodily harm, suspected of attacking a group of people with a baton on Saturday morning at the clinic in Balingen.
