Police pursue motorcyclist performing hazardous lane changes around Engstingen
A 21-year-old Honda motorcycle driver found themselves under investigation by the Tübingen traffic police on Friday afternoon, following a series of risky driving incidents.
According to reports, the incident began when a civilian police patrol in Tübingen attempted to pull over the motorcyclist on the B312/B313 from Engstingen towards Lichtenstein-Honau around 4:40 PM. However, the motorcyclist ignored the police signals and accelerated instead.
The motorcyclist proceeded to perform several risky overtaking maneuvers, drove briefly against the direction of traffic, and was traveling at significantly excessive speed within built-up areas. To evade control, the driver also performed more risky overtaking maneuvers.
Eventually, the motorcyclist was stopped at his registered address for inspection. As a result of the investigation, the 21-year-old's driver's license was seized.
Witnesses who felt endangered by the 21-year-old Honda rider's driving behavior are asked to contact the Tübingen traffic police at 07071/972-8510. The Tübingen traffic police are leading the investigation.
